Register the Board

This step is NOT necessary for students of the class. This documentation is for the instructors.

This section will involve registering the board and downloading the proprietary documentation and firmware files.

Register on TechWeb

  1. Go to http://www.inforcecomputing.com/techweb/ and register as a new user.
    1. For Product Number, select INFORCE 6410
    2. The serial number is the 16-digit number located at the bottom of the barcode on the bottom of the board.
  2. After registering your board, you will have to wait about 48 hours before you have access to the software and documentation available on the site. This is because Inforce will check to make sure your board is legitimate. You should receive an email once your board has been successfully registered.

Download Propriety Files

  1. Go to the http://www.inforcecomputing.com/techweb/ site and log in with the email and password you created.
  2. The Tech Docs tab at the top contains useful information about the board. The datasheet and schematic may be useful.
  3. Go to the software tab at the top of the page. Download the zip file called Inforce-IFC6410_Android BSP Rel V 1.5.zip.
    • This file has proprietary Board Support Package files that need to be added to our firmware later.
  4. NOTE: Using a later version of the binary blobs may cause unexpected things to break. For example, the GUI appears to be broken when using BSP V 3.0.
